Thank you Chandler Family! Our first experience with Joyful Rescuesoccurredby the chance discovery of the organization on line. We adopted our precious dog, O'Brien, (formerly Clyde O'Brien) ! It was at that time we also learned about their transport program. So touched were we by this life saving rescue program that we not only named our dog after the' O'Brien Transport' (which was in memory of Martha O'Brien) but also decided to be a sponsor for the Chandler Transport. About a year ago we lost our sweet cat, Frady (age 22 years). Always curious who was available, I often snooped at the website! I had seen this notification before but never reacted to it until my husband was really missing Frady and wondered about a new cat. I found the post again on Facebook from the foster Mom. She had two middle aged cats who had come to her and had bonded after a not so great life for either of them. It was her hope and the hope of Joyful Rescues that these two fine ladies could be adopted together. Since my husband and I are both seniors...we thought why not! Our family welcomed Eydie and Ella (formerly Asterid and Sahara). While attending the August's reunion with O'Brien we searched out Joye! Our request was to sponsor another transport! The news came this week that our 'furever lovies' had arrived! We hope that they all find loving homes and live happily ever after. When you see all the love, caring ways and joy that the animals receive at Joyful Rescues you just know in your heart it's the right thing to do by supporting their program in any and every way possible!!! Sue and Bill Chandler Geluk Chandler was born around June 16, 2019 and may top out in the 25-35 pound range. Geluk was surrendered to a hill kill shelter with his 3 siblings and father. The person surrendering the dogs said the mother to the pups was a Chihuahua and sadly they opted to keep her. The pups came to us very timid but are adjusting nicely. We feel a home with no small children would be best at this time. A home with another dog and secure fenced yard will also be on our checklist for these adorable pups. It's our job to show them that humans are really wonderful and whatever happened to them in the past will not repeat itself. This is all we know so far and we will be learning as we go and so will you. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $425.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration,worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list.
