Breed: Large Mixed Breed Age: 12 years Weight: 55 pounds Gender: Female This sweet girl previously lived on a ranch and was used as a breeding and herding dog. One day, she refused to go with the neighbor despite his efforts. He eventually left her alone, in which she immediately crawled under his neighbors home and gave birth to a litter of puppies that day! From then on, she lived with the neighbor. She comes to us with the other 6 border collie mixes that could no longer stay with the guardian when she moved into a mobile home. Squinty is very sweet and has a 'mama mentality' meaning she has a knack for looking out for the dogs she lives with. Her demeanor is calm, not clingy. She doesn't need to be pined over but appreciates attention when she gets it. Since she lived with so many other dogs, its seems that she understands that the younger dogs need more attention and she is willing to take a backseat so they get it.
