Maple Silky Terrier Adult Female

This sweet, 13 lb. shy girl came into the shelter matted and very afraid. She would cry upon seeing people, and just wanted to hide. Maple slowly made friends with the staff that cares for her, and now greets them excitedly, loves to cuddle with them and then run around happily. She has lots of playful energy. Now that Maple has had proper grooming, she feels much better, so is looking for home who can provide her the professional grooming she will need going forward. Maple is still extremely shy with new people. It will take several meets with her at the shelter before she will be ready to go to a new home. She is looking for an adult home, and she does bark very loudly when she sees unfamiliar people so might do best in a quieter home setting. Once you are Maple's friend, she is a joyful little pup who is worth the patience it will take to get there.
