Benny and Jinx are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair. Benny prefers to go slow when starting new relationships, but he draws confidence from his buddy Jinx, who is very outgoing.This cat was rescued from a hoarding situation and has not had the socialization that most cats have growing up. Because of this, this cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. They may also be more comfortable with other cats than with humans to start, so we recommend adopting these cats in pairs to help make the adjustment process easier. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We will provide post-adoption resources, including our free cat behavior hotline (515-262-XXXX, Ext. 311). If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting!
