This is a special plea for a special boy. Our Prince hopes that he will live happily ever after. Prince was found in January, hours before the an ice storm hit, curled up in a tight ball on the side of the interstate. He was up against a concrete wall on a bridge frozen in fear. The moment he was picked up you could tell that he knew he had been saved. The look in his eyes said that he was thankful. For the past 2 months I have watched him experience life as a pet and a family member. Even though he is an adult he sees the world as puppy as he is experiencing many things, such as a comfy couch, toys and treats, for the first time. I don't know what life was like for Prince before he was rescued but now he is house-trained, crate-trained, leash trained and loves everyone he meets. He loves to play with the other dogs in his house. He is good with cats and farm animals. He is a dream in the vehicle. He immediately lays down and goes to sleep in the vehicle. He also falls asleep and starts snoring if you rub his belly. The vet thinks he is about 2-3 years old. Unfortunately, Prince tested Heartworm Positive and will need to undergo treatment. During his treatment he will need to be kept calm. While we absolutely love having Prince around, there is nothing calm about his current foster home. Prince desperately needs a new foster or a foster to adopt family to get him through his treatment which will be paid for by the rescue. You will not find a more easy going dog.
