Sweet Sadie came to us as an owner surrender when her family moved out of state and chose not to take her. While Sadie lived her first 12 years outside she has quickly become acquainted with the good life living in a home with her foster family!! She has learned to enjoy snuggles in dog beds and cozy blankets. Sadie can often be found on the couch in their front room so she can keep an eye on all the action. And don't think for a second that because Sadie is 12 that she wants to be left at home! This determined girl prefers to be in front of her foster brothers on walks. And she will do her best to "hunt" on those walks. Indeed, Sadie is quite the strong girl when bunnies and birds are spotted. She will need a family with Brittany or hunting dog experience who understands her “hunting” instinct, her strength, and need for daily exercise.Sadie needs to go to a home where she will have a securely fenced (6 ft) yard to play in. She will also need an active adopter committed to taking her on her daily walks. And Sadie would love to continue the adventures she has had with her foster family, like hiking and camping. She thinks those activities are just the best. She would do fine in a home without children or with only older responsible children. Because Sadie loves other dogs, a home with another furry pup is preferred. Sadie also needs a home where all humans are steady on their feet, since she tends not to know she is under foot.Sadie is current on her vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative , microchipped, and house-trained. She is on Incurin twice a day for urinary incontinence and will need to stay on that medication. Even with Incurin, we are looking for a home for Sadie where someone in the family is home during the day. Sadie’s adoption fee is $250 ($150 for seniors over the age of 65).
