Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-Bull Name: Portugal Breed: Pitbull Sex: Female Date of Birth: 2-3 years old Weight: 55 pounds Location: Temple, GA RESCUING PORTUGAL… Portugal had her FREEDOM RIDE on 12/20/21. She came in pregnant and heart worm positive, but we did not hesitate to take on the challenge! She gave birth to 8 puppies the day after Christmas, 5 girls and 3 boys (who are adoptable now!). Portugal had a rough start to being a mom, but she kept strong for her babies. ABOUT PORTUGAL… Meet Portugal - She has weaned off all other 8 pups, completed her heart worm treatment, and doing great! She is a submissive girl with medium energy, so a few short walks will be just fine for her. She is housebroken and crate trained; she sleeps soundly in her crate at night. She is great in the car and leash trained. If your household has dogs, she will need some time to warm up to them and we do not recommend her around cats. She would probably prefer to be the only dog. Her foster mom says her favorite activity is being around her family and her favorite toy is her stuffed dinosaur. She is a homebody that would rather stay at home than be at a noisy dog park or public area. Portugal would enjoy a calmer household, due to her being nervous about noises like storms, fireworks, and construction. She will need some guidance in her confidence, so continuing to ensure that she can trust humans is a must. If you think that you can give the love and guidance that Portugal needs, please reach out! ADOPTING PORTUGAL… Portugal is currently on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She is eating Nutrisource Grain Free Lamb & Pea dry dog food. Her adoption fee is $300.00.
