Meet Pogo! This sweet girl came to us at just a few days old when she was the size of a large potato. Her mom, Penny, had given birth to just one puppy in a shelter the night before she was scheduled to be euthanized. Thanks to our amazing foster home, Penny and Pogo were saved. Pogo is your typical puppy: play hard, sleep hard. She has spent her whole life around people so she is very affectionate as well. Pogo has a great start on house manners like potty training and sleeping in a kennel. She is very much still a baby so she will need to be taught the rules and routines of her future house. Pogo has grown up around cats, kids, and other dogs. Being an only child, she missed out on the importance of having siblings. Puppies learn a lot of manners from interacting with one another so it is very important Pogo attends puppy classes to help teach her socialization skills. Brave will pay for Pogo and her adopter to attend her first course of puppy classes. As always, we recommend continued obedience training. We always suggest training classes where the whole family can be included. Training classes help you bond with your new puppy and also help hold you accountable to practicing training so you're not scrambling with your pup is a teenager! Remember: the time, effort, and consistency you put into training your puppy will ensure it grows up to be a great, well behaved dog! She was born in a shelter on 9-13-2023. She is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $400 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If this pet is under 6 months old, it may still need to be spayed/neutered. This procedure is scheduled through Brave by the age of 6 months and the cost is covered through the adoption fee.
