Loving Lilly is simply gorgeous with her grey aging muzzle that accents her golden and black coat of fur which is soft and truly pretty. She appears to be a Shepherd/Collie mix girl who has become a victim of disinterest and abandonment by her first owner. She is a 10 year old healthy girl that weighs about 50 lbs. Her grey muzzle makes her sweet face standout when you meet her and confirms that she carries many well-earned years of wisdom and intellect. Her story is one that is layered with being left behind when her owner was losing a home and he dropped her and a companion dog off with a friend. The owner never came back and just after 3 months of being with the new person in Tennessee, that new foster person passed away and the original owner refused to come get the two dogs. She has been homeless twice now in less than 6 months. This girl, like most Shepherd breeds, is super smart and she listens very well. She is housebroken and never bothers anything when left alone. She does not require a crate when you are away from home. She rides well in a car and she is good on a leash. Lilly has a touch of sass and yet is outgoing when she is confident of who you are. This pretty, fluffy girl is sweet but does have a touch of reserve when first meeting new people. All of this is understandable and a product of being shifted here and there along with the cautious personality trait that Shepherds can have. Please help Lilly find a good home that will let her live out the many last years of her life in love and stability. She is loving and needs a place to belong in her golden years.
