When you think adventure, do you imagine exploring beautiful, far-off lands filled with wonders and exciting new things? For Tenora, she was on an adventure, but it didn't have quite the same appeal. This tabby girl was found outside, and the discoverer noticed that she wasn't alone. Next to her were six kitties! Noticing that leaving the family outside in the elements was not ideal, the nice rescuer brought the young family into their home. They were taken to LCCR where the kittens all weight under a pound! Thankfully, with the resources and new, safe environment, Tenora was able to raise her kittens with little worry. When the litter was about 4 weeks old, Tenora decided that her job as a mother was finished. They were healthy and happy, and she was too. At the time, the foster noticed that Tenora wasn't exhibiting any behaviors that would insinuate that she liked the indoors. With no other alternatives, Tenora was transferred to a TNR program, where she left outside. She absolutely hated it! Luckily, another foster stepped up to the plate to take Tenora into her home, and wouldn't you know that she didn't loved it? The only theory we have to why she wasn't enjoying the previous foster's home was because there were young children. We are assuming they make her incredibly nervous, so she's hoping her new home won't have any! If there are older children though, she won't mind them! So, we told you Tenora's story, but what is this girl like? There is only two words to describe this cat, and it's "Lap Cat." The first thing she does when you walk into the room is jump up on your lap! All she wants is your attention! She's willing to pay in affectionate rubs and purrs if that's what it takes! She'll walk in and out of her carrier with no hassle, and she'll even let you pick her up and carry her around like an infant, as long as you love her! Tenora's adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
