Meet Cherry This sweet girl is Cherry. She is a Manx kitty with medium to long black hair and one beautiful yellow/green eye. Her life didn’t start out very easy living among many animals in an hoarding situation and because of this she has trust issues with humans. She is extremely shy and will take a lot of patience and the opportunity for a long adjustment period from her new family. She will come to her foster for attention but it has taken a lot of time, and she prefers to not be picked up. Cherry does well with other kitties and would do best in a home that has other cats or dogs to help her feel more secure and comfortable. Due to her personality it would be best to be in a home with older children or no children that can understand her needs. Cherry is healthy; however, she is FIV+. (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) FIV isn’t something to be afraid of and can only be transmitted to cats through deep bite wounds. An attentive adopter will ensure he gets vet care as needed so he can live a good, long life. We encourage adopters to do research and/or speak with their veterinarian about FIV prior to applying for adoption. She is estimated at 4-5 years old.
