Lola is a cute 10-month old female Terrier/Husky mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 4, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Lee Street/Dana Drive in Belpre Ohio. Lola was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. Lola has brown/brindle short smooth coat with white markings on her chest, a long tail with a white tip on the end, and a beautiful symmetrically-marked brindle-and-white face with a long slender muzzle and large floppy ears. Lola's left eye is blue and her right eye is brown, which gives her a unique appearance. This young lady has a sweet, fun-loving personality. Lola was full of playful energy when HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan spent time with her late in the afternoon on November 5th for outdoor glamour photos. Lola was intrigued with watching other dogs in the distance, and she was anxious to make their acquaintance. HSOV Volunteer Cathy Carlsen was walking Pauly (a small male Pug/Beagle mix), so she and Fredley arranged an impromptu 'meet-and-greet' much to the delight of both Lola and Pauly. They seemed to have a contest seeing which of them could wag their tail the fastest. And they both were good with each other. Lola weighs 48 lbs and is fairly strong on a leash. She seemed a little too interested in one of the HSOV shelter mascot kitties, so we aren't sure how she really feels about feline friends. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Lola will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. UPDATE: Lola went home with a foster family on December 8, 2023 who plans to adopt her after she is spayed.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lola (aka Luna), please reach out to the adoption group directly.
