Dean is a super sweet kitty with a rough past. He found himself in the shelter where they discovered he was FeLV+ and has HCM (heart issue). Thankfully all of his numbers for both FeLV and his heart have been great. He gets medication once daily for his heart. Unfortunately Deanie Beanie isn’t expected to have a super long life. He’s been with us for 2 years now and has been doing phenomenal, but a life secluded to one room isn’t the life he deserves. He deserves undivided love and attention and so much more. He loves kids and tolerates dogs after an introductory period. We are working on seeing if he does well with the other leukemia cats in his foster home. FeLV+ cats can live long lives! But typically they have a lifespan of 2.5-6 years. Dean is now 5 years old.
