Benny, Benny, Benny. What can be said about the boy who is ALL about the hugs and belly rubs? During his photo shoot, he won over the love of the handler. He would walk over and sit at her feet waiting for treats then, when given permission, stand up and get cuddles. He eventually got tired of standing on his legs, so on the ground he went where he continued to wiggle and wiggle while continuing to have his belly rubbed. If he doesn't make someone instantly smile, then nothing will! Benny prefers to be your one-and-only dog, so he should be the only dog residing in the home. Besides, you won't have time to pet another dog with all the petting he needs to have his love meter filled. Benny is heartworm positive but please don't let heartworms deter you from taking him home, they are completely treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center is generously providing a $400 sponsorship toward Benny's treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
