Are you looking for the kind of love and devotion you thought only existed in movies? Well, I'm here to make your dreams a reality! My name is Mowgli because, well, I've had a challenging start to life, and so I'm a bit rough around the edges. But - just like in the best romance movies - I'm a prince of a pup just waiting for the right person to bring out the best in me.I'm a terrier-aussie mix - at least that's what my rescuers have been told. I'm about 9 months old, and I was mistreated as a puppy and then surrendered to a shelter. Needless to say, the fact that I haven't really known true love only adds to my incredible story. I am a delightful guy - playful, sweet and very snuggly. I get along with other dogs, but if they are mean to me, I try to defend myself. I love to play chase with my foster sister, Arwen, and wrestle with the resident dogs. I love squeaky toys and treats. But my one true love is humans. I want to be with my people all the time. I mean, I need to make sure they feel loved and that they're safe. This is my purpose in life!I tell you this because it has made crate training difficult. But I can say after three weeks of dedication, I am crate trained with very minimal barking and crying - usually when I hear my foster mom doing something fun in another room with one of the dogs. I have serious FOMO and I need ALL the pets. But I sleep in crate and I stay there when my family is gone without issues. I'm not destructive and I'm chill just hanging in the house with my pack.I am house trained and I'm amazing on leash. I know a few basic commands, and now that I'm comfortable, I'm learning new things everyday. Trauma is tough on anyone, but for a puppy who doesn't know any different, it is hard to believe that everyday will bring all the things I love. The only thing I'm missing in my life is a family of my own. I deserve a patient, fun and hopefully active family. I'd be a great running or hiking buddy because I don't stray too far and I have amazing recall. I want to have adventures and learn new things, but most of all I want to make some lucky humans feel loved and adored every day of our lives together.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
