We were notified by Franklin County Sheriff that Olive and her five siblings and Mama Star, were dumped out off Taylor Flats – so of course we went out and with a lot of help and effort caught them all and brought them to safety placing them in foster homes. Born approximately 11/22/22, Olive is a female German Shepherd mix whose foster describes her as a typical spunky and energetic puppy who also has a great off switch, where she will nap in a variety of her favorite places for hours. Olive’s foster has taken her to work with her where she has been exposed to a variety of dogs and cats-and has learned a lot about social cues and boundaries with other animals. She has been raised in a home with cats, adult dogs and is very well behaved around small children, understanding the difference between their toys and food and her own. She is crate trained, mostly potty trained, is not food aggressive toward people or other animals and responds quickly when directed to leave something alone. Olive would do best in an active home where she lives indoors but would permit her lots of outside time and while she is independent, she would most likely thrive with the company of another confident dog that understands the rules of the household.
