Zeus and Ruby are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Zeus was adopted as a companion forRuby. It took them a while to bond but once they did, they got along quite nicely. He is not a fan of bananas-fruit in general, he could take or leave but, he does seem to like apples. Zeus is much more outgoing and friendlier than Ruby . He will tolerate being picked up but he doesn`t like it. He loves being pet and is very curious about everything . Although not as smart as Ruby (he can`t flip a cup but he will push it), he is more playful. Once he is comfortable with you, he likes to play chase... Like, you playfully chase him and he`ll run around and binky. Loves it! He will come up and sit with you on the couch- sometimes right against you when he finally trusts you. He loves to be around people and once he has that trust, he will nudge you and stay close. He is also pretty vocal. He will grunt at you if you get in his way or he doesn`t like what you`re doing. And those feet! He will stomp when he wants your attention or is not happy. But overall Zeus is a sweetheart.They seem to be very much opposites- but opposites attract! We joke that Ruby is the snobby princess and Zeus is the street-smart boy from the other side of the tracks. They take care of each other and balance each other out. They have made us so happy and have been so fun. We hope you will love them as much as we do. Rabbits can live over ten years, require space and commitment, and can be costly. They are social animals who want your attention and who each have their own personalities. Rabbits are fragile and have delicate spines, so their owner must be educated on proper rabbit handling. Because of this, rabbits do best with adults and older children.Rabbits need a large cage with a hide shelter, water bottle and food bowl, toys like balls and chew sticks, and a hay rack. They can be litter box trained, which means they also need a litter box. A healthy rabbit`s diet consists of 80% hay with timothy, grass, and oat hays for older rabbits and alfalfa hay for young rabbits. Rabbits also need a large variety of vegetables and greens, a limited amount of rabbit food pellets, and the very occasional sugary treat like carrots or berries.Rabbits get bored just like the rest of us, and enjoy ripping up newspaper and playing with cardboard boxes and toilet paper rolls.
