MEET SOCKS! This darling, 5 year old mixed breed dog came to our training partner after the elderly owner passed away leaving Socks with three other dogs. We initially thought all four dogs were bonded, but Socks would do just fine on his own. He came to us with Lyme disease and has been successfully treated, but he will still drool upon occasion; though he presents with no pain or stomach upset. At 48 lbs, Socks is in great shape and loves to run around in the yard. He is very food motivated, and he will take treats gently. Socks is comfortable wearing a collar but doesn't know what to do when leashed. He is food motivated enough that he willingly walk on a leash but will get himself tangled. He knows no commands but is house broken, keeps a clean crate, and does well in the car. His ideal home would be with a fairly non active family who would enjoy interacting with him in a fenced in yard. Sock's adoption donation fee is $250, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip.
