Update: Enrique: if I fits, I sits! Despite his love to find the most awkward napping locations, he is still a distinguished gentleman. Enrique is full of manners, understands when to say thank you, knows his boundaries, and like a true gentleman doesn’t ask too many questions. He is good with dogs, cats, kids, potty trained, etc. However, he will have a few extra questions for the Amazon delivery guy. He does tend to bark at extra tall men, I think it’s just his small stature though. Toss him a treat and Enrique will be your friend for life.Henry is sweet bundle of love! He is always ready for a walk with good leash manners. Likes direction on what you want and sticks close by when you are doing chores. He enjoys running around the yard trying to catch birds that dare to stop or sunbathing on the deck. He is not one to play fetch but he will play tug of war with his squeak toys. He is a great snuggler at night and will lay close by for rubs while you watch tv or nap. Have not been to a dog park with him but he comes home exhausted from daycare…think he would enjoy himself. 4yr JRT MN Mix 17 lbs. Fully vetted, good with people and most dogs, though he can be dog selective. Enrique came to us, sadly abandoned in a mobile home park in middle GA, he was with a buddy hit by a car. He stayed with his deceased friend until help came. He was in ruff shape, making him appear older than his years. He's had some skin issues (flea infestation related) which have greatly improved. Available dogs are met by appointment for pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster home which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Please have patience.Our adoption fee is $250 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee.
