Hi, my name is Xenia and I'm from a reservation in S. Dakota. From the foster: Say hi to Xenia! With her irresistible puppy energy and affectionate nature, she's guaranteed to wiggle her way into your heart. This sweet pup is always up for a good cuddle session or afternoon nap, and will provide you with endless love and warmth. Although a bit dopey and clumsy, Xenia brings laughter and joy into every moment. She has quickly adapted to house and crate training, impressively avoiding any accidents indoors. She loves all her plushy toys but on occasion mistakes a sock or blanket as a chewy friend however, she's easily corrected and redirected to a nearby squeaker. She loves the water and enjoyed being out on a paddle board with foster dad. Xenia has come a long way with walking on a leash but still has some tendency to pull when she spies a rabbit or squirrel nearby. When it comes to people and children, Xena is an absolute gem-friendly and gentle, always ready to shower them with love and playfulness. She'll be in your lap immediately and as long as the pets keep coming she's not going anywhere. She is mouthy and can get excited to the point of needing a reminder about how to play nice but this is less and less as we work with her and reinforce polite puppy behavior. She does however need some assistance with socializing around other dogs and cats. While face-to-face interactions have been challenging so far, with patient and gradual introductions, she can potentially learn to coexist peacefully with other animals. If you're looking for a puppy full of affection, endless cuddles, and the potential for growth in social skills, Xenia is the perfect addition to your home. With some patience and careful attention she can continue to flourish and learn to be more comfortable around furry friends.
