Meet Sir Edward! He is (approximately) 6 years old and a 20-25 pounds full grown. Edward is from our most recent hoarding case and dogs DNA tested from the household were a smorgasbord of breeds (Coonhound, Sheltie, Lhasa Apso, Russell mix, etc, etc). Sir Edward is full of life and full of himself! He enjoys the company of other animals and LOVES to play. He has been exposed to kittens, puppies, and dogs of many ages and sizes, but not all love his playful excitement. He is still learning the ways of the world in regards to kennel, potty, routine, and just being a dog. He will need an adopter with patience and the resources to teach him these things. Sir Edward has some herding tendencies, so no young children please. A fenced in yard is preferred - he doesn’t know how to walk on a leash yet!Adoption application can be found on our website!Adoption processThe adoption process consists of your completion of an adoption application, our review of the application and contacting relevant references, verifying the application information, a home visit (for puppies & dogs only) and then contacting you with a decision about approval. Please note that this process for cats may take up to seven days, but will often be less. Since a home visit is required for dogs, the process may take slightly longer (often not more than 2 weeks). Application Forms are available under the ADOPT tab of our website www.savinggraceanimalrescuemd.com You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt one of our cats / kittens 21 years of age to adopt our dogs / puppies. FEES: Cats: Generally $150 per cat This includes:-spay/neuter-2-3 rounds FCRVP-rabies-Felv/FIV testing-microchip-flea/tick meds while in foster care-deworming Dogs:Puppies under 6 months -$350Puppies 6 months - 1 year- $3001-7 years-$2507+ years-$150 This includes:-Age appropriate vaccines (a minimum of 2 rounds of Parvo/Distemper for puppies)-Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough)-Microchip-Deworming-Heartworm testing (dogs over 6 months)-Flea/tick/heart worm medications while in foster care-Spay/NeuterShelter locationWe understand the desire to meet our animals as soon as possible but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit pet visitation to approved applicants only. Once your application is completed by you and approved by Saving Grace, we will be glad to schedule your visit.
