Meet Indy! Indy is a female, 1.5 year old, Doberman Pinscher blend. She is 56 pounds.Indy arrived at the shelter as a stray. She is a very sweet girl who has been through a lot the past few months. She arrived at the shelter in early July, and has had very little interest from adopters. Due to this, she has slowly lost interest in meeting new people and although she is very friendly, she is nervous when meeting new people which has turned adopters away. Luckily, an amazing foster came forward and was willing to take Indy into her home and give her a loving and relaxing place to decompress and stay until she is finally adopted into her forever home.Indy is a very smart girl with tons of potential. She is well socialized with people and loves attention and affection. She is completely potty trained and has been learning commands like "sit." She is still weary of things like the crate, the car, and a collar and leash, but she is slowly gaining more confidence with her foster mom working with her to build positive associations with those things. She would greatly benefit from continued positive reinforcement, fear free training. Indy will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. Indy will need to be the only animal in the home. We do not hold animals, they are available to the first-come, first-serve qualified individual or family. Adoption fees vary from $25-$500, with adoption specials lowering those fees at times by up to half. We accept cash or credit. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.Shelter locationMeet our pets in the shelter Monday through Friday by appointment only, 10 am until 6 pm. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays due to low-staffing. Our Facebook page and website are kept up to date with available animals!
