Ripken came to Austin Animal Center as a stray, so we are still learning about him. We do know, however, that this boy loves his peanut butter and will slurp it down like there’s no tomorrow. When it comes to other treats, he is gentle sniffing and taking them from his handler’s hand. Speaking of sniffing, that is another of Ripken’s favorite activities. He loves slow walks during which he can stop and smell the roses… Or the bushes… Or the squirrels. During the summer, he enjoys dips in the pool. When he wants pets and scratches, he will lean into his handler.Ripken could likely live in an apartment or a house. He has made doggie friends at the Center and could live with other pups. He is friendly towards all people he meets and might enjoy having children in his household. He is independent and does not need constant attention from his handler. Ripken can’t wait to find his forever family and finally go home, so come by and meet him.
