CRATE TRAINING: Good. He eats and sleeps in a crate. OTHER DOGS: He may do well with another dog in the home with the proper introduction. He prefers older females versus exuberant young males. He has a few select friends he plays with and he does enjoy playing with his female dog friends. CATS: He would do best in a home without cats. He has a strong prey drive. CHILDREN: He would do best in a home without small, very young children as he may not understand his own strength. ADOPTION DONATION: $600 HEALTH: Jason Momoa is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care. HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Jason Momoa is a wonderful boy. He's slightly smaller and more compact than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset! He can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart he's learned that people bring the fun and he makes friends quickly now. Plus, he loves to play. Training and play are the way to his heart! He does love his snacks, too so the stomach can also be a way in. He loves to go for walks. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be a little protective of who he deems are his people which is why he requires someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Like many breeds/ dogs, he is not one for a first-timer. Jason is leash-trained and does have basic obedience training under his belt. So, he can be quite obedient and is a very good boy! Who wouldn't want to take this hunky Hollywood guy home? All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar.
