Ranger is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm-negative. Ranger has environmental allergies. He takes 5.4mg of apoquel daily for allergy management. His medical records will reflect, along with apoquel, that he receives monthly cytopoint injections for allergy management. He is is on Bravecto for flea/tick control. Bravecto also helps with allergies. Ranger is currently on a regular diet but he would benefit from being on a salmon diet which would help to control his food allergies. At this time, we are recommending to continue this treatment for Ranger. Medical care is ongoing for Ranger. The cost for allergy management is variable depending on your area but, on the average you can expect the following. For cytopoint injections, it averages $50 to $100 per month. Apoquel averages $3 per day or about $90 per month. Bravecto is $70 every three months. Weight: 22 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $1 I am priceless! Fence needed? No, I love to walk on a leash. What kind of home would be best for me? Ranger needs a home all of his own. He is used to being an only dog and would like to keep it that way. Ranger was a beloved companion for his previous owner who became ill and could no longer provide for him. They made a difficult but loving decision for Ranger to let him go to become a beloved pet for someone seeking a friend. Ranger will guard his person from another dog in the home. He wants to keep his things in order and his people are included in keeping things straight. He will bark and growl at dogs in his person's lap or area. This is why we prefer to find a place for Ranger where he can be king of your heart only. However, in public or outings, Ranger is canine-friendly and will not react to other dogs. More than anything else, please read about Ranger's allergies (see special needs section above). You'll need to be committed to keeping this guy itch free. He can't help it - he's special. He needs someone to take especially good care of him. What is my personality like? Ranger is inquisitive, busy, and doesn't know a stranger. He would like to follow a human everywhere all day long. His special place is in the car. He loves to go for rides. Ranger is well-mannered and knows to sit, come, and is fully house-trained. Ranger does not like crates and has perfect house manners. He loves to ride in the car and go everywhere. Ranger would love to travel or hang out around town. He is very busy all day long and likes the change in scenery. Sleeping with you is the highlight of his day. He's very snuggly. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly - see me on TV Other tips and tidbits: Ranger is 5 years old. We celebrate his birthday 6/15/2018. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
