Boxer Mix Dog for Adoption in Boonton, New Jersey, 07005 USNickname: XP Cane - Metuchen, NJ Posted Breed: Shepherd / Boxer / Mixed (short coat). Cane is a gorgeous Shepherd/Boxer mix born on 4/4/23 who weighs 50-60 pounds. He was "gifted" to a family but now one of the children is having asthma issues due to being allergic to Cane. A family friend is helping the family find a new safe and loving home for this big puppy. The family just took him to the vet to make sure he is up to date on all his vaccines, too! Although he's a big boy, Cane has puppy behaviors which means he has a lot of energy and loves to chew and run and be active. He is looking for a home with dog-savvy people who understand that puppies need training and room to run. He’s housebroken on wee wee pads at home. His original owner had him in an apartment in the Bronx so it’s all he knows. Cane's current owners do take him out and are trying to work on housetraining. He is good on a leash and has been crated. He also is good with dogs and when meeting a cat, he did fine. Cane loves to play ball & loves to run. He has lots of energy and the softest fur! He loves hugs and kisses...and to dance with you if allowed! He has such a sweet personality. Cane is good with all size kids but because of his size, he needs to be careful with little ones. His original owners had a 2 year old and 6 year old and teenagers so they loved him but due to asthma issues could not keep him.
