Meet Atlas, a young Anatolian Shepherd / Siberian Husky Mix! This handsome boy has been with us in foster care and is eagerly looking for his forever home! Atlas is approximately 1 year and 9 months old. He is energetic, playful, motivated and enjoys training using positive methods! Atlas does have prey drive so he needs a home without cats and other critters. Due to his higher energy and puppy goofiness, Atlas would do best in a home with older kids. Atlas is super social with people and loves attention from anyone willing to give it. In his foster home, this young guy loved romping around with dogs, however he can be a bit pushy to play and doesnât always read when other dogs are done and want space, though he is learning. While Atlas has participated in shelter playgroups, he can be aloof around dogs (the husky in him!), so be heâd be great as an only dog, or in a home willing to take their time and slowly integrate should the resident dog be a match. A tolerant female, medium to large in size would be a good match for this handsome fella. Atlas is still very much a puppy on the inside, and can get over excited, so an adopter who will work with him on his manners is recommended. Heâs bouncy, energetic and very playful and does also require daily exercise, both mentally and physically. A home with a larger yard would also be great Here's a video of Atlas in playgroups.
