Boxer Dog for Adoption in Austin, Texas, 78761 USNickname: Poe II Posted Breed: Boxer. 1/27/2024 Poe II is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Poe II! I am a handsome 2-year-old flashy reverse brindle boy that is an owner surrender due to my owner not having the time for the attention I need. I am described as friendly, active, smart, noisy, playful, and obedient. I love attention and will be mischievous if I do not receive it. It is said that I am dog friendly but unknown if I am cat friendly so a proper introduction would be needed. I am said to be kid friendly and currently live with four kids (ages 2-17 years). I am crate trained and house trained but will sometimes have accidents in my crate if I feel I’m not getting attention. At night I sleep in my crate and when the humans must be away and I am alone, I must be crated or I will be mischievous and get into things I’m not supposed to. When I am outside, I will jump at fences and am curious what is under the grass and will dig to find out so supervision while outside is recommended. Baby gates are no challenge for me and I am able to jump right over them! I attended a training program for two weeks and did well! I have gotten out of habit of my good behavior I learned but would easily fall back into them with patience and guidance! I know “place”, “sit”, “down”, “go to bed”, and other basic commands. Training me isn’t difficult especially since I am very food motivated! I don’t like my feet messed with, not being given treats/snacks, and will startle from loud noises or will bark when I hear doorbells or knocks. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, fetching, tug of war, couch snuggles, food, sleeping in laps, and attention from the humans! My current owner says I am a “sweet boy and deserves the world!”.
