American Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Woodland, California, 95776 USNickname: Elena Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Elena is a classic velvet house hippo — thicc, snuggly, and absolutely gorgeous. She recently recovered from her spay surgery at a volunteer’s home where we had the chance to learn more about her. Turns out Elena is a LOVELY housemate! She appears to be both potty trained AND crate trained. She is a dream to walk on leash, pretty much staying at a perfect heel and checking in with great eye contact. No matter what size dog she met, she was not reactive on leash and simply gave a quick booty sniff before returning to her handler. She’s toy and food motivated, eager to please, and great in the car. We think Elena will make the most loyal companion. She’s friendly with strangers (including little kids), but will always choose to come back to her person right away. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy to watch TV or to keep you company on leisurely walks, Elena might be your perfect match. Elena is about 4 years old and weighs 58 lb. She does not do well living at the shelter but this quick break has shown that she is an amazing pup when she gets away from here. Please consider meeting her this week so she can get out of the shelter and into the forever home she deserves. Elena’s adoption fee is sponsored by Bug a Bull Rescue.
