Hazel came in very timid and afraid of everything. She didn't know what toys were or what to do with them. She didn't seem to know how to act in a house, and seemed she'd never been in one. She has really come out of her shell and loves affection. She's very eager to please and do well. She sits like a champ and is really doing well at learning to not jump. She's mostly potty trained, but does occasionally have an accident in her crate over night. She's still quite hyper and needs room to run. In time, she'll get better at sitting still and cuddling; she's just too busy playing at the moment. She loves playing with other dogs with a proper introduction. She hangs around 2 big dogs and 3 cats in her foster home. She would do best in a home with another cat or dog. She has come to know what toys are and doesn't like to give them up, so "give" is still a work in progress. Hazel is a real sweetheart and good with men/women/kids once they aren't strangers to her. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
