Pudge was born in our rescue as his Mom was dumped with a volunteer when she was very pregnant. Pudge was adopted and returned soon after because the family realized they could not commit the time to him that he needed as a puppy. His next stop is going to be his forever home! He is still very much a puppy and loves to play. He does well with dogs of all sizes, housebroken and crate trained. Pudge doesn't love to share food or treats, but this is manageable and trainable. He's working on it every day. In the meantime, Pudge is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He is ready to make his final move. Follow us on FACEBOOK for updates on Pudge! Persons/families interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats must first fill out our adoption application. Once we review the application, if approved, we will set up a time for the person to meet the particular pet(s). If the person decides to adopt the dog/cat, we set up a time to do a home visit. Adoptions are approved after passing a home visit. An adoption contract is then signed, requiring veterinary care/food & water/exercise/affection for the dog/cat & a stipulation requiring the return of the dog/cat only to Tails of Hope, if necessary. All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, HW negative/treated & on preventative.Shelter locationAll of our dogs and cats are in foster homes. People can visit our adoptable pets by appointment, or at one of our adoption events. Tails of Hope holds adoption events at the Waxahachie Petsmart on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month from noon til 4 PM.
