Deeks is a pit/boxer mix and was born into our rescue in early 2021. He was adopted but has been living outside and begun scaling the fence to get out of the yard. Deeks is a playful, energetic dog that needs exercise and consistent training. He must be an indoor dog. He may need some reinforcements on housebreaking, and will need crate training to ensure he is safe inside. He is very active and would be a great running partner! Persons/families interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats must first fill out our adoption application. Once we review the application, if approved, we will set up a time for the person to meet the particular pet(s). If the person decides to adopt the dog/cat, we set up a time to do a home visit. Adoptions are approved after passing a home visit. An adoption contract is then signed, requiring veterinary care/food & water/exercise/affection for the dog/cat & a stipulation requiring the return of the dog/cat only to Tails of Hope, if necessary. All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, HW negative/treated & on preventative.Shelter locationAll of our dogs and cats are in foster homes. People can visit our adoptable pets by appointment, or at one of our adoption events. Tails of Hope holds adoption events at the Waxahachie Petsmart on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month from noon til 4 PM.
