Meet the handsome and energetic Malcom! This 1-year-old Lab/Retriever mix has been with us since May 2023, and is looking for his forever home. He is a very energetic soul who loves to do zoomies in the play yards, and would make a wonderful family dog to take on outdoor adventures and snuggle up for movie nights with. He is a super big water dog and loves to go swimming in the kiddie pools on hot days. Malcom is social and friendly towards other dogs, but If you have another dog at home we recommend that you bring them for a meet and greet to ensure that they get along before taking him home. We do offer a 'slumber party' program which allows you to take a dog home for a week before adopting to see if they are a good fit for your family. There is no cost or commitment for this - we provide the supplies, you provide the love! Malcom is up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and is Heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $50. Come adopt from the Humane Society of South Mississippi (HSSM), a progressive animal welfare organization located in Gulfport, MS. Each year HSSM houses approximately 10,000 homeless pets. Every day we are fighting a space capacity crisis as we try to care for the overwhelming amount of abandoned local pets. Please consider visiting our shelter to adopt your next best friend.
