Age: 8 years Weight: 41 lbs Toby was adopted as a puppy and is being surrendered back to us through no fault of his own. He may not be young but you'd never know it! Toby has lots of energy and loves to play fetch, catch the frisbee, go for walks, and do tricks for treats. He can be a bit shy so a home with older children (or none at all) would be best for him. He's not lived with another dog but doesn't seem to mind them when he sees them on his daily walks. He is house-trained and very affectionate. Toby is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm-negative. His adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet him here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. February 17, 2024, 8:22 pmAdoption processAdopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.Shelter locationTo meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.
