Labrador Retriever Mix Dog for Adoption in Blairsville, Georgia, 30512 USNickname: Blue Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Hound / Mixed (medium coat). My story is sad, but I pray for a happy ending. My name is Blue. First off I was NOT abandoned. My dad and I were backpacking on the Appalachian Trail. Dad is a homeless Navy Veteran. I ran off because I was scared in the middle of the night. I could hear coyotes, and when morning came, my dad could not find me. He searched for 5 days, but he had to leave the Appalachian Trail and end his search. He was out of supplies, food and money. Dad was distraught because he could not find me and could no longer provide me a home. He made the heart wrenching decision to go back home which is up north with his families help. Dad did not think I survived due to the coyotes. When people heard this, they went searching for me, and finally I was found and Safe Pet Project has put me under their wing. They were able to find my dad through the veterans Association on my dog tags. Dad has agreed to surrender me to Safe Pet Project for them to find the perfect home. I’m approximately 4 1/2 years old, neutered, up-to-date on all my vaccines and micro chipped. Safe Pet Project along with Nottely Oaks animal Hospital are giving me the proper medical care to make sure I am healthy adoptable dog. Please contact Safe Pet Project for more information.
