Louie's journey began as a stray, where he faced some tough times and was finally found very skinny. But don't let his rough start fool you – Louie's as sweet as they come, and he's ready to find his forever home in Minnesota. This playful boy loves nothing more than romping around and wrestling with other dogs and cats, as long as they're up for it. When it's time to relax, Louie's happy to chill out with his human companions, showering them with kisses – he's a big-time kisser who's never short on affection. Louie's used to the hustle and bustle of daily life and would make an excellent companion for someone who wants to take their dog to work. He is all around a happy boy! If you're willing to give him with the love and attention he deserves, Louie will reward you with endless kisses and boundless happiness. So, if you're ready for a loyal companion who's ready to take on the world with you, Louie might just be the perfect match for you. Louie currently lives with small dogs, cats and adults. Loui has been undergoing treatment for Histoplasmosis and Osteomyelitis at this time. He is doing phenomenal on his medication. Loui survived both of these conditions and floored the veterinary staff by continuing to prove he wants to be here. These are both conditions that will need continued monitoring and continued medication. Possibly lifelong but this is unknown at this time. His future family should be willing and able to give Louie the necessary medications he will need until further notice. Louie is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/9/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
