This gorgeous, 9-week-old Beagle puppy was found wandering near an elementary school in Rock Hill, SC by a Good Samaritan. They had her scanned for a microchip and contacted the local shelter and various Lost & Found pages to see if anyone was looking for her. After no one stepped up to claim her during the required holding period, we were happy to help her find a forever home. Rosie is currently being fostered in a home with a mom, dad, teenage daughter, 4 dogs, and a sassy kitty named Cindy Crawford. She is a confident puppy who strolled right in like she’d always been there. She’s done well as part of a pack and takes no issue with kitties. She is very playful and likes to roughhouse play with the bigger dogs, but she also takes correction well when they don’t want to play. Rosie is crate-trained and working on potty training. She does well when taken out regularly for potty breaks but is still far too young to be trusted. She is already comfortable on a leash and going potty when taken out, and is a very sweet, good-natured pup who enjoys being held and adapts quickly to new environments. We are looking for a fun, active family with a flexible schedule and ready for puppy mode. A family with another social, playful pup in the home would be great for Rosie to learn from. While Rosie is very cute, she’s still just a puppy who needs basic training and continued socialization to become her best self. Preference will be given to adopters with: A flexible, puppy-friendly schedule Another social dog in the home (preferred but not required) An active home in the DC metro and surrounding area Rosie is still too young to be neutered, but having her spayed at the appropriate age will be required as part of her adoption terms.
