Meet Rusty, a mixed breed boy (Dog Scanner app suggests Belgian Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur in the mix) that was brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/29 as a stray. Rusty weighs 80 pounds, is approximately 2 years old and is not neutered. When looking at his pictures you will see why I picked the name. His fur is a beautiful reddish-brown color and he also has such striking eyes. What a handsome fellow! Not only is he a "looker" but he has such a nice personality. He is confident and outgoing, friendly, sweet-natured and delightful. He wants to stay close to his human companion. Rusty has a moderate activity level. He was quite interested in exploring the shelter yard as well as the room in which I took his pics. He pottied in the yard so may be house trained. Rusty knows the sit command and is more than happy to do so for treats, which he takes gently. In fact, he's quite fond of treats which may translate into an easy dog to train additional commands. He walks quite nicely on a leash.
