Rocky is a delightful Corgi mix who recently got to go on a sleepover with two of our foster volunteers, they shared that he enjoys playing with soft squeaky toys, chasing a ball, cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, getting baths, romping around the backyard, and meeting new people. Rocky is house trained, and knows his basic obedience including sit, wait, and shake. He doesn't have any mobility issues, so he can easily hop into your car, onto the sofa, and onto the bed, and into your heart. He will also sleep on his dog bed near you if not allowed in bed with you. Rocky is a low to medium energy dog with relaxed, polite indoor manners. He walks nicely on leash, no pulling. He matches his pace to yours, occasionally pausing to sniff a bush. He doesn't bark at dogs, cars, bicycles, or golf carts driving by. He was well behaved in the car and stayed in the back seat during the short car rides to and from the Placer SPCA. This charming Corgi mix is a great cuddler and couch potato when you are relaxing together on the sofa. No trying to sneak a bite of your snacks when on the sofa together. What a good boy! He is particular about how he is handled, so any children in his new home are required to be teenage or older. He doesn't enjoy the company of other dogs or cats, so he is required to be the only animal in his new home and he may not visit dog parks. Rocky's adopter will receive a consultation to discuss his individual needs and learn more about him.
