Jasper is a 1 1/2 year old Border Collie who is the sweetest thing. He loves to play tug of war, go for car rides and absolutely loves the outdoors. He is ready for a loving and patient family to call his own. He is a little shy when you first meet him and can be a little skittish but once he warms up, he follows you everywhere. He has lived with 4 cats and 1 dog for the first part of his life. He shows immense curiosity for other dogs but a slow introduction is best. He is very curious about cats and tends to want to herd them like they’re sheep. He would fit best with an active person/couple/family as he has tons of energy and needs a lot of stimulation. He loves walks and going to the ocean as well as chewing on a good bone for hours. He dreams in his sleep which is a cute added bonus. He is almost potty trained. He just needs consistency and a routine. He does let you know when he needs out. He knows how to sit and responds to his name. He will need some more training and patience. Jasper came from a ranch as a pup with his siblings and wasn’t allowed inside. They were yelled at frequently so he needs lots of love and lots of attention. But he is worth it!!! He has the most expressive face and is curious about everything you do. He loves being outside with nature but also enjoys a mid afternoon nap as well. He’d be the best boy ever for anyone willing to invest into him.
