Hey there, I'm Jackie, a 34 pound street dog from the Rochester area. The folks who found me took me in, helped me gain weight and gave me lots of love. Unfortunately, they had another dog and, after several months of trying, we just couldn't get along. It seemed like it was going ok at first but, as I gained weight and strength, I decided I didn't want to share my prized items or people with the other dog. So, here I am at the shelter looking for a forever home where I can be the one-and-only. I'm hoping I can find someone patient and understanding, who also has experience with dogs like me. You see, I'm a pretty nervous guy, maybe from living the beginning of my life being kind of rough. The way I handle my nerves is to bark and keep the scary thing at a distance, which is hard for some people to handle. With some time and patience, I'm sure we could work things out.
