Baethe Waller Shepherd (Unknown Type) Adult Male

Location:
Provo, UT
Description:

Oh my heck what a charming lover boy! From the moment I met Baethe, I fell in love. He is very gentle, so calm, and quiet! Baethe reminds me of a regal gentleman that is so innocent and sweet. My favorite thing about him is how tolerant he is and how well he handles chaos. Oh and the way he looks at you. He looks at you with so much trust, loyalty and love in his eyes that make your heart melt. When he came to us for his assessment, it was a very chaotic day, lots of people in and out of the office, lots of furniture moving around, other dogs in and out and Baethe was just sitting there watching all of the action. He was not stressed, overwhelmed or want to hide, he simply sat there and watched. It was almost enduring the way he was so calm and chill watching everything. Like he was taking it all in. Watch his amazing personality here: https://youtu.be/Fh4MAS_rpuk?si=p0hoORGA6fX1EGdf Baehte is believed to be a German Shepherd mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 53 lbs and is full grown! He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Baethe is very dog friendly and got along with every dog we introduced him to and is currently fostered with a variety of different dogs. He is a submissive guy and even did great with a super spicy dominant female shepherd that growled in his face for no reason and he got his feelings hurt. On the other hand that same dog (who is particular about which dogs she likes) ended up really liking him. He's that amazing and stable around other dogs. He has a gentle play style and likes to romp around like a third wheel hopping around with the other dogs but never actually getting into physical play. He likes to frolic around in the yard and he's very majestic and graceful about about it. Not only is he super stable with other dogs, he did great during his cat test. He was more scarred and avoidant of the cat and wanted nothing to do with him. We do not know if he has ever lived with a cat nor can we guarantee that things won't change once in a home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions, he can co-exist in a home with cats. Baethe would be bet placed in a home with other dogs or even in a home with out other animals. He does not need the company of other animals to feel comfortable. His personality is more on the cautious, reserved, and gentle side with or without dogs. He would also do great in a home with a backyard or even in an apartment/condo style environment as long as he gets adequate exercise and mental stimulation. He is not high energy but like most dogs is going to require some level of exercise. He would be just fine going on long walks in the park or around the neighborhood or even going off and exploring the wilderness with his new family. He would honestly be a great dog for a first time adopter and even a great family dog with kids. He is eager to please and also easy to handle on a leash. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in his forever home. We are willing to test Baethe Waller with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
