Idabelle came to Purr Partners when she was about six weeks old, because the shelter thought she was blind. Our vet referred her to Animal Eye Care and after the vet there examined her he told us she was not blind at all but could see quite well. What she did have was eyelid agenesis, where the upper eyelid was not formed. Idabelle had to wait until she was nearly an adult to have that fixed, and she went through the surgery near the middle of February this year. It was decided at her final checkup two months after surgery that her eyes had healed very well, and she could finally start searching for her forever home.Idabelle is a real sweetheart. She is very laid back and gets along with all the other cats she lives with. She lives with dogs, though she spends very little time with them. I think with her laid back personality, that she would be fine living with a cat savvy, gentle dog. Idabelle likes to be petted and hugged and kissed, though as with any adult, she will start to squirm when she’s had enough. She likes dangly toys and balls and climbing the cat trees in her foster home.
