Elvis von Elbe is a beautiful, 8-month-old German Shepherd. You were waiting and searching, and here he is! Lovable and fun, Elvis is that goofball pup of your dreams. Elvis starts off his day with a lot of puppy energy and is still learning his leash-manners, but he calms down with instructions and will walk by your side with ease. In his playgroups, he is eager to explore and greet the older dogs around the yard. He knows exactly which ones will be more patient and playful with him and will invite them to run around and have fun. When it comes to people, this young pup loves being petted all over and will jump into your lap for hugs. He has made great steps in learning his “sit” and “down” (just give treats with an open palm for now). This handsome sable boy will do well growing up in a happy and loving home (no cats for this pup). Elvis will be excited to meet you! Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
