Her name is Bailey, she is a 9 year old female, approximately 14 pounds and up to date on all shots to include rabies, in overall great health. She belonged to my loving aunt who passed away unexpectedly this past weekend. I unfortunately am not in a position to keep her and don't have any close family who is willing or able to take her. I do not want to take her to a shelter and overwhelm her. Bailey is sweet and lovable, a bit high energy, but very in-keeping with the breed. She loves toys and pets and gets along with other dogs. She has recently been introduced to a cat in the interim I have had her and is quite curious, but overall has gotten along very well. She loves to give kisses but dislikes the mailman and will bark if she sees them coming to the door. Overall she just wants to be near people, she is very much a lap dog and will forever accompany you to and from the restroom.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
