Located in Stouffville, ONMicrochipped, DOB: Feb 24, 2020Stan was rescued from a home with so many cats that he wasn't able to get any human interaction experiences there. He came into foster care unsocialized, but has been slowly warming up to us in the few months we’ve had him. He now eats in front of us, and will sit out and look at us, which is growth, as he used to just hide and then growl.Stan has a remarkably flat and round face! It is so cute. We sometimes call him our little pancake! Stan has big, round eyes to match! He is very watchful as he is still gaining trust of humans, but we can see that he is wise, and with a lot of time, he will slowly learn to trust.Stan will need a very special forever home. His forever home will need to accept that Stan is very timid, and may be for a very long time. He may in time and with trust in a quiet setting, slowly grow used to humans. He may never be a very social, cuddly cat, but we believe that with the right home, he will be able to slowly gain faith in humans.Special note from Stan’s foster parents: We love Stan and respect all that he has been through and how far he is coming. With tempting moist food treats in a quiet space, he is letting us pet him a little when he is eating. He is prone to hiding given the chance, so a small, quiet and separate room is recommended for Stan. Although Stan isn't cuddly and is very slow to trust and socialize, he is very rewarding because you know you are helping a little guy that would otherwise not have had a chance!
