Pepe is a handsome, loving senior Shih Tzu boy who is about 12 years old. He is happy, lovable and loyal. He still likes to play with toys but he is a loner when it comes to being with other dogs. He would just as soon be an only dog. He takes a little time to learn to trust new people but when he does he is yours forever. Sadly, he lost his owner when they passed away it was no fault of his. Pepe does have some allergies and gets a cytopoint shot every few months. He also gets drops in his eyes every day. Pepe weighs about 14 lbs. He sleeps on the bed at night if you will allow it. He likes walks and just kicking back with you at home. He would love a home where he is the only dog and where there are no young children. He covets his peace and quiet time! Pepe is not a dog who enjoys a lot of cuddling or hovering. He likes being pet, belly rubs and talking to but can be growly when picked up. He is truly endearing once you get to know him but it does take a little time for him to trust you. Pepe is a coated breed (hair grows continuously) He will require some brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Pepe's adoption fee is $225 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue!
