A former streetcat who had an elderly caretaker, once he passed last year he had no one to feed him and was sleeping on his porch waiting for his. Very sad. A neighbor noticed he was looking rather worse for wear and took responsibility to get him to the vet and have him taken care of. He has been diagnosed with kidney disease. At this point, all he needs is a renal diet and he's doing quite well. Can you give this boy a safe indoor home for his senior days? All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip. We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.Adoption processOur process is in place to assure the best possible home for the pet. The process can take anywhere from 1 to 10 days or more, with the average time being 2-3 days. We require an application that will be screened for home ownership, criminal record, vet references, and personal references. We may have an in-person interview as well as a home visit. If approved, there is a legally binding adoption agreement to be signed as well as an adoption fee to be paid. We receive zero funding from any agency, and rely 100% on donations and fees to continue our mission.
