Bella is a rescue who we adopted from Pets Lifeline in Sonoma in 2013. She spent many years as an indoor/outdoor cat, but since we have moved to Sacramento she has been inside more often than not because of a dog that she's avoiding. About three years ago, she started spraying in my son's room every time his door is open. We have had her examined several times; there is nothing medically wrong. We suspect it's a behavior related to a second cat that my daughter brought home near that time. It's strange that she will only spray in my son's bedroom, but it's become incredibly isolating for him to always need to have his door closed at all times. She's a sweet cat otherwise, snuggles with us at night, and does enjoy being outside when she gets the chance. The ideal situation for her might be in a home with no other pets.
