FREYA - 2 years old, 50 pounds, house trained, needs proper introductions to other dogs, lived with a dog her whole life but not good with dogs she does not know, no cats, good with kids.Freya is another nervous girl thrown into a shelter cage when her family, the only one she knew ever, decided she was not doing well living in an apartment because she was too energetic and active. So now she sits with over 100 other dogs all looking for a new home. SMH With all her energy, she probably needs a nice fenced in yard to run and play in or a family dedicated to walking her or running her several times a day. The more active, seemingly, the better! Freya lived with another dog her whole life but when it comes to dogs she does not know, she does not like them. She can, however, meet other dogs with slow proper introductions and get along with them. She is good with children. I kept the leash on her in the yard just in case she became too nervous to come back to me, but I did find she is willing to open up to new people. Give her a chance. Give her an opportunity to show you how great she is and how wonderful she is to spend time with! She is waiting at VBACAC, 341 S Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach. Open daily 12-5 pm.
